Galatasaray made history on Saturday night when
they handed 14-year-old wonderkid Mustafi Kapi his senior debut.
The lad came in as substitute in the game. The
20-time Super Liga champions were playing a friendly in Bulgaria against Levski
Sofia to keep up their match sharpness during the international break.
In the 89th minute, Kapi was a chance of a life
time with the first team when Dutch coach Jan Olde Riekerink brought him on for
a taste of the action.
It may have only been a cameo role, but it still
goes down as the boy born in 2002's first official appearance.
Following the final whistle, Kapi was greeted
with a warm hug by his coach and soon became an Internet sensation.
Kapi only turned 14 in August and has spent three
seasons in Galatasaray's academy, having arrived from his home town club
Denizlispor.
